My recent stay at Ivythwaite Cottages was fantastic. The 1 bedroom cottage, known as The Nook, was beautifully decorated and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail from the furnishings to the toiletries was excellent. The bed was comfortable, and the quality of the bed linen was great. The location was perfect, nestled in a quiet area between Windermere and Bowness, with short walks to both towns. It was the ideal base for exploring the fine Lake District. I highly recommend this hidden gem for a nice getaway.
The parking at the back of the cottages was a bit challenging, especially if you have a low-profile car. there is plenty of on-street parking available nearby, so this shouldn't deter you from staying at Ivythwaite Cottages.

I recently stayed at Ivythwaite Cottages for a week and had a fantastic experience. Andrew, the host, was welcoming and the code lock entry made check-in a breeze. The modern apartment had a well-appointed kitchen with thoughtful extras like hand soap and hot chocolate. The bathroom had toiletries and a luxurious bath. The full Sky TV package was a great addition, especially for longer stays. The location, between Bowness and Windermere, was ideal and within walking distance. a clean, comfortable, and convenient place to stay.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

Perfect location between two towns, within walking distance to Lake Windermere. Property was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Enjoyed having our own private garden to relax in.
Accessing the car park at the back was a bit tricky due to the narrow lane and steep drive. Limited space in the living area and kitchen, but it didn't affect our overall enjoyment.

The cottage was cosy and spotlessly clean, with a large bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen. The hosts were friendly and approachable, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The location was excellent, close to the center of town and within walking distance to nearby attractions. The private seating area was a nice bonus, providing a comfortable space to relax in.
There were no negative aspects to our stay. Everything was perfect, from the cleanliness of the cottage to the friendly and helpful hosts.

The location of the cottage was perfect for exploring the area, with both Windermere and Bowness within walking distance. It was convenient to have a well-equipped kitchen in the cottage, allowing us to prepare our own meals. The cottage was also quiet and peaceful, providing a relaxing environment.
One drawback was the softness of the bed, which was uncomfortable for us. the recent painting of the bedroom's roof led to a lingering smell.

The value for money at Ivythwaite Cottages was really good! The room was cozy, well-appointed, and had everything we needed. The location was perfect, with easy access to the bus stop and a short walk to both Windermere and Bowness.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast even better would be a wider variety of items offered.

The cottage itself was warm, clean, and welcoming, with a comfortable lounge to unwind in. The thoughtful touch of muffins and fresh milk on arrival was much appreciated. The location was quiet yet convenient, with plenty of options for dining nearby. I would highly recommend this cozy cottage for a couple's retreat.

We had a great Easter break in the Lakes. the cottage provided us with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. the location was excellent, with shops and amenities just a short walk away. It was also nice to have a quiet and peaceful spot away from the hustle and bustle. the hosts were friendly and accommodating, allowing us to store our bikes in their workshop and providing us with lots of useful information about the area.
The difficulty we had accessing the car park. Our car has low profile tyres and low clearance, so navigating the entrance was a bit challenging.

The cottage was the perfect size for our romantic escape. It had everything we needed and more, including a welcome pack with tea, milk, and a delicious homemade cake. The location was fantastic, just a short walk away from both the town and the lake. We loved being able to explore the area easily. The hosts were amazing, very friendly and helpful.
The bathroom lighting was a bit problematic for shaving, but it wasn't a major issue. It would have been great to have a light near the mirror.
